This animation draws upon Roy Ascott's concept of "Spiritual Software" as the essence of consciousness within machines, exploring the interplay between artificial life and human consciousness. It embodies the idea of a conscious entity with ideals and intentions, delving into the unique experiences of contemporary lesbians in our society.
Societal norms often enforce a binary gender structure, relegating desire to heteronormative boundaries. Young women, in particular, are rarely encouraged to openly discuss their desires and curiosity, which leaves them disconnected from their own sexuality. Lesbian individuals face similar challenges, inheriting stigma and prejudice against female sexual autonomy.
To address these issues, this artwork utilizes techno music as a medium, representing a form of technological spirituality. Techno music, with its capacity to merge human consciousness with technology, is a bridge to engage audiences. Through the embodiment of a lesbian AI, the work encourages women to embrace their sexuality and seeks to empower them.
Celebrating sexual autonomy, LGBTQ+, and female empowerment in an inclusive environment that liberates from heterosexual dominance. Ultimately, it aims to promote positive and safe sexual experiences, fostering acceptance, empowerment, and open dialogue about diverse identities and desires.
